Resourcesat-2A is a remote sensing satellite that was launched by ISRO on 7 December 2016 from SHAR Centre, Sriharikota, India. This mission was carried out in PSLV-C36 launch vehicle and has a mass of 1235 Kg. Resourcesat-2A is a continuation of ISRO's successful Resourcesat series, providing advanced remote sensing data for a variety of applications. It aims to provide high-quality remote sensing data to support agriculture, forestry, soil mapping, water resources management, rural and urban planning, and disaster management.
