INSAT-4B is a communication satellite operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and is configured with exclusive communication payloads to provide services in Ku and C frequency bands. This satellite was launched on 12 March 2007 from Guiana Space Centre in Kourou and had a mission life of 12 years. This mission was carried out in Ariane 5 launch vehicle and has a mass of 3025 Kg. INSAT-4B is part of the Indian National Satellite System (INSAT) and is primarily intended for telecommunications and broadcasting services. The satellite aims to provide direct-to-home (DTH) television broadcasting, telecommunication links, and other communication services to India and neighboring regions.
