Sentinel-2A is a satellite launched as part of the European Union's Copernicus program for Earth observation. It is designed to provide high-resolution optical imaging of the Earth's surface, contributing to a wide range of applications, including environmental monitoring, land use, agriculture, forestry, and disaster management. Sentinel-2A is equipped with a multispectral imaging instrument, the Multi-Spectral Instrument (MSI), which captures images in 13 spectral bands, ranging from visible to shortwave infrared.
