Sentinel-1A is the first satellite in the Sentinel-1 mission, part of the European Union's Copernicus program for Earth observation. It was launched to provide all-weather, day-and-night radar imaging for various applications, including monitoring the environment, disaster management, and security purposes. Sentinel-1A is equipped with a state-of-the-art Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) instrument, capable of acquiring radar images in various modes.
