The NPT300 from ThrustMe is a Gridded Ion Thruster that is designed for mega satellite constellations. It has a thrust of 8-12 mN and a specific impulse of 1200-3000 s. This spacecraft thruster has a wet mass of less than 10 Kg and power consumption of up to 500 W. It is based on classical gridded ion thruster technology and is a neutralizer-free system built on ThrustMe’s patented AC acceleration technology. This thruster can operate flexibly with many propellants, like Xenon, Iodine, Krypton, and Argon, and doesn’t require a high-voltage DC power supply for operation.
The NPT300 is currently in the research and development stage.
