HORUS Image

The HORUS from Sodern is a Single Box Standalone Star Tracker that is designed for missions with a lifetime of 10 years in LEO and 18 years in GEO orbits. It has an accuracy of less than 11.1 arcsec and an output rate of 8-10 Hz. This star tracker has a mass of 1.6 Kg and a slew rate of 2-3 deg/sec. It requires a DC supply of 24-105 V and has a power consumption of up to 14 W. This MIL-STD-1553B certified star tracker consists of a FaintStar CMOS detector with a thermo-electric cooler and embedded software for processing data and computing the attitude. It measures 141 x 141 x 250 mm and is ideal for telecom platforms.
