The ATLAS from SPACERACE is an Actuator with a release preload of 22 kN and a design limit load of 33 kN. This actuator has a release time of less than 50 ms and a reset of under 1 min. It has a PC-controlled actuation and a life of 100 guaranteed releases according to ECSS-E-ST-33-01C. The actuator’s release bolt thread is user-customizable up to M8 and its mechanical interface is customizable as per NEA, Glenair, Eaton, Arquimea, and more. It requires an actuation current of 4 A. This reusable non-explosive release actuator has a mass of 240 g (without harness and connector) and is ideal for ground testing of space mechanisms.
