The TuffServ 540 from Ampex Data Systems is a Solid State Recorder that has detachable memory module offering a total capacity of up to 16TB using a pair of NVMe SSDs. It has an internal data rate of 900 MBytes/sec and a payload data rate of up to 800 MByte/sec for onboard data storage applications. This recorder uses an Intel Core i7-5650U 5th Generation Broadwell-U series CPU subsystem and provides two 1000Base-T interfaces plus a 100Base-T port for control/status. It works on a Red Hat Linux 7 operating system and has options for additional or customized I/O via miniPCIe slots. The recorder requires a supply voltage of 28 VDC and comes with under/over voltage protection. It weighs 4.5 Kg and measures 74 x 108 x 215 mm. The recorder is built for rugged, MIL-STD-810 environments.
