The 2040-Nemo 2 from Airbus is a solid-state recorder with over 12 years of performance life in LEO orbit. It has a total memory capacity of 8 Tb and a user memory capacity of 4 Tb. This compact recorder has a power consumption of 22 W and has 2 memory slices. It supports unregulated redundant power bus 22-38V redundant MIL-STD-1553B for TM/TC command and telemetry purposes via the record space wire interfaces. The FPGA-designed recorder has a large capacity non-volatile flash memory array and its architecture is modular and scalable, based on qualified building blocks packaged in slice form factor. It has a CCSDS packet telemetry standard transmission over virtual channels, CADU generator for the formatting of playback TM files, CFDP (CCSDS File Delivery Protocol) Class 2 for downlink, and security AES 256 cyphering in option. This space-qualified recorder has a strong flight heritage. It has a mass of about 8 Kg and measures 365 x 220 x 170 mm.
