The Advanced Lightband (ALB) from Rocket Lab is a Separation System that is used to separate spacecraft from launch vehicles in orbit. This mechanical separation system has a bolt circle diameter of 8-24 inches and a total mass of 2.03-4.98 Kg. It is made with materials and methods consistent with high-reliability and NASA Class-A space flight hardware. It requires a supply voltage of 24-32 V and has an initiation time of 0.005-0.035 sec. The ALB has a deployed life of 20 years and is suitable for commercial, government, private, and university customers, for LEO, GEO, and interplanetary orbits.
