The SPACECAM 5MP from Space Micro is a Satellite Camera with an active array size of 2560 x 2160 (H x V) and a pixel size of 6.5 x 6.5 μm. This camera captures monochrome images and uses Rolling Shutter or Global Shutter. It has a maximum device frame rate of up to 100 fps (RS) and an ADC resolution of 22 bits (2 x 11-bit). The camera has a dynamic range of greater than 83.5 dB and a field of view of 14/89 degrees. It supports SpaceWire at 80 Mbps or CameraLink data interfaces. The camera requires an input voltage of 5 VDC and has a power consumption of 6.5 W. It features a radiation-tolerant design with parts having a tolerance of up to 100 krads and a very low read noise based on a scientific CMOS imager. The camera has a mass of 1-2.5 Kg and measures 10.7 x 8.4 x 23.8 cm (with baffle). It has a lifetime of up to 15 years in LEO and GEO and is suitable for applications such as lunar missions, Earth imaging, and space situational awareness.
