The SSW-110-NLX-1500 from Surrey Satellite Technology is a Reaction Wheel with a design life of 7.5 years in low-earth orbit. This reaction wheel has a torque of 11 mNm and angular momentum of 1.5 Nms. It has a maximum speed of 5000 rpm and a speed accuracy of less than 0.1 rpm. The reaction wheel supports CAN BUS or RS-422 full-duplex data interface for communications and features regenerated power returns back to the spacecraft bus. It requires a DC voltage of 24.1-35 V and has a maximum power consumption of 113 W. The reaction wheel has a mass of 2.6 Kg and measures 128 x 124 mm. It has a radiation tolerance TID of less than 5 krad at wheel electronics and is suitable for LEO missions.
