The 400 mNms RW-0.4 from Rocketlab is a Satellite Reaction Wheel that is designed for high-agility remote sensing and science microsatellites. It has a torque of 100 mNm and a nominal angular momentum of 0.4 Nms with a 22.5 deg/sec gimbal rate. This torque and radiation hardness optimized reaction wheel has a mass of over 770 gms and requires a DC supply of 24 - 34 V for operation. It has an in-built controller for speed/torque control and supports the redundant RS-485 interface for telemetry command. This reaction wheel has diamond-coated hybrid ball bearings, redundant motor windings, and active neutralization of rotor static charge. It measures 46 x 103 mm in dimension.
