The Elektro from Airbus is a Power Processing Unit (PPU) that provides power conditioning and control for the Hall Effect Thrusters. This PPU has a maximum output operating power of 5kW and an input power bus of 100 V. It has a lifetime of 15 years in geostationary orbit and an efficiency of up to 94.5%. The Elektro has an anode operating capability of up to 400V (Isp vs thrust) and is designed for dual-mode operation in the range of 300-400V. It features a flexible design that offers different possible thruster configurations and can drive one or two HETs. The PPU has a mass of 20.5kg and measures 393 x 270 x 271 mm.
