The SuperNova PCDU from Bradford Space is a Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit (PCDU) with a capacity of up to 1.5 kW (solar arrays). This PCDU is capable of interfacing between 28V nominal Li-Ion batteries, up to 80 V solar array sections, and a set of regulated and/or unregulated loads. It has a solar array power conversion efficiency of up to 95 %. The PCDU has a battery charge/discharge current of +/- 50 A and a maximum trickle charge current of 2 A. It is radiation qualified up to 30 kRad total ionizing dose and for high energy protons and has a lifetime of greater than 5 years. The PCDU has a mass of less than 1 Kg and measures 60 x 120 x 135 mm. It is ideal for LEO and deep space applications.
