The EVO PCDU from Airbus is a Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit (PCDU) that is used to control the power flow in the unit and to handle all tasks related to bus protection towards the users. This PCDU has a maximum charge/discharge current of up to 130 A and up to 16 EOCV levels. It has 144 CL outlets and up to 256 heater outlets. The PCDU has a Maximum Power Point Tracker mode efficiency of greater than 95% and a Direct Energy Transfer (S3R) efficiency of greater than 98.5%. It has a single or dual, non-regulated or regulated power bus and supports the MIL 1553 interface for TM/TC. The PCDU uses a Li-Ion battery and Latching Current Limiters with single and double switches for primary power distribution. It features built-in launch-off capability and built-in EOL passivation in line with ‘greenspace’ regulations. This unit measures 262 x 350 x 210 mm for 8 module configuration and 650 x 350 x 210 mm for 20 module configuration. It has a lifetime of 20 years and is intended for low-earth orbit, medium-earth orbit, geostationary earth orbit, and interplanetary missions.
