The IPC-8000 from Space Micro is a Satellite On-Board Computer (OBC) utilizes UltraScale FPGAs in a VPX backplane and based on reconfigurable FPGA resource designed to meet the demands of high-bandwidth applications. It features state-of-the-art processing and memory functions in a compact 3U OpenVPX standard compliant. This OBC has an DDR3 SDRAM memory storage capacity of 16 GB and a 10-year data retention flash memory of 64-128 Gb. It is a 3U VPX single board computer and can process and store multiple complex image streams at aggregate speeds exceeding 30 Gbps and solid state recorder sizes range from 64 GB to 4 TB. This OBC has a radiation tolerance of up to 100 krads and supports RS-422, GPIO and LVDS interfaces. It has a real-time 12 bit JPEG compression and measures 7.9 x 5.9 x 4.4 inches.
