The Magnetic Torquer for Small Satellite from Meisei Electric is a Magnetorquer that has an output magnetic moment of 12 Am2. It is designed for applications that can carry 50-100 kg satellites and can be used in pico, nano, micro, and CubeSats. This magnetorquer has been previously used on JAXA’s small demonstration satellites such as SDS-1 and SDS-4. It has a mass of less than 500 gms. This magnetorquer requires a DC supply of 15 V and has a power consumption of 1W. It measures 250 x 56 x 29 mm and is used to control spacecraft attitude.
