The STIM377H from Safran Group is an Inertial Measurement Unit that consists of 3 high-accuracy MEMS-based gyros, 3 high-stability accelerometers and 3 inclinometers in a miniature package. This IMU has a angular range of 400 degrees/sec and a gyro bias instability of 0.3 degrees/h. It has a gyro angular random walk of 0.15 degrees/√h and an accelerometer bias instability of 0.04 mg. The IMU communicates via a standard high-level RS-422 interface and uses a 32-bit RISC ARM microcontroller to provide flexibility in the configuration. It features a gyro that is based on Safran ButterflyGyro using a single-crystal silicon technology with an electronically calibrated axis alignment. The IMU requires a supply voltage of 4.5-5.5 V and has a power consumption of 1.5-2 W. It has miniature laser welded hermetic package with aluminum casing and has a sampling rate of 2000 samples/s. This ITAR-free IMU has a mass of 55 gm and measures 44.8 x 38.6 x 21.5 mm. It is ideal for satellites, military land navigators, satellite launchers, launch vehicles, missile systems, remote weapon systems, DIRCM, and target acquisition systems.
