The STARLIGHT 1000 IRU from Cielo is a Fibre Optic Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that has a gyro dynamic measurement range of up to ± 35 deg/sec and bias stability of less than 0.001 deg/h. This IMU has gyro scale factor stability of less than 2 ppm (1σ) and an angular random walk of 0.0002 deg/vh. It is designed using the closed-loop fiber-optic gyro (FOG) technology with a space grade ultra high performance strap-down inertial reference unit (IRU). It requires a DC supply of 30-48 V and has a power consumption of up to 52 W. This IMU has a mass of 8 kg and measures 200 x 240 x 240 mm (optical pyramid). It is ideal for space navigation applications such as EO SATS, COM SATS, line of sight stabilization, space-based radar, and guidance.
