The IMU 42-XP from Cielo Inertial Solutions is an Inertial Measurement Unit with a gyro angular random walk of 0.008 degrees/√hr and a gyro scale factor stability of less than 150 ppm. This IMU has a dynamic range of ±1000 degrees/sec and an accelerometer threshold of 10 µg. It employs the latest closed-loop fiber-optic gyro (FOG) and linear rebalanced accelerometer technology. The IMU has an accelerometer scale factor stability of 300 ppm and bias stability of less than 0.001 deg/h. It requires a DC supply voltage of 5 -15 V and has a power consumption of up to 15 W. The IMU supports SDLC and RS-422 interfaces and has data rates ranging from 100-4800 Hz. The IMU 42 has a mass of 0.84 Kg and occupies a volume of 0.45 liters. It is tested and combat-proven on a variety of operational applications, such as rocket systems, accurate munitions, payloads, UAVs, and civilian aircraft protection systems.
