The 9103 from Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is an Attach and Release Mechanism with a proof load rating of 41000 N and a release load rating of 35000 N. This mechanism has a fuse wire resistance of 1.2-2 Ohms and requires an actuation current of 4 A. It has a low output shock of less than 750 g/s (preload) and a release time of 50 ms. The mechanism has a mass of 200 g and measures 48.3 x 40.6 mm. It features a non-explosive hold-down and release function with low-release shock and can be operated with pyrotechnic initiation circuitry.
