The PHM from Leonardo is a Space Qualified Atomic Clock with a design life of more than 12 years in medium earth orbit. It has an output frequency of 10.0 MHz and an output level of +7 dBm. This flight-proven atomic clock has a frequency drift of less than 1x10-14 after 1 week and a frequency sensitivity of less than 2x10-14/ degree C (to temperature). It offers stability for averaging times from 1-100,000 seconds. The atomic clock requires a main bus voltage of 50 V and has a power consumption of up to 70 W. It has a mass of less than 18.2 kg and measures 210 x 500 x 250 mm. The PHM has flown on several missions such as GIOVE-B and the ESA/EU program for satellite navigation. It is designed for precise positioning, timekeeping, and other onboard applications.
