The XACT-50 from Blue Canyon Technologies is an Attitude Control System (ACS) that is designed for use in 6U CubeSats for LEO orbits with a spacecraft lifetime greater than 5 years. It has a mass of 1.23 Kg and a momentum of 50 mNms. This ACS system consists of a powerful processing core coupled with reaction wheel assemblies and provides precise attitude knowledge & control. It has a pointing accuracy of ±0.003 deg (for 2 axes) and ±0.007 deg (for 3rd axis) with a slew rate of 10 deg/sec.
The XACT-50 requires a DC supply of 12 V and supports an RS-422 interface. It has a low-jitter reaction wheel design and user-friendly software that supports simulation, integration, and customization. This ACS system measures 100 x 100 x 75.4 mm.
