Beyond Gravity, one of the leading global suppliers to the space industry working in the areas of satellite positioning and communications, providing instruments to collect satellite data and structures for all types of launch vehicles has introduced a new multi-constellation GNSS receiver for satellites.
The GEORIX from Beyond Gravity is a single-frequency multi-constellation (GPS, GALILEO) GNSS receiver that is designed for geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) and geostationary orbit (GEO) applications. It provides an excellent on-board real-time navigation solution with an accuracy of below 20 meters (in GEO).
The GEORIX features detached LNAs for improved performance figures and an antenna with a gain pattern that is optimized for GEO. It uses advanced Kalman filtering which allows for high on-board navigation performance and an accurate force model-based orbit propagator. The receiver has a sliding search window for minimized acquisition times and a single-frequency signal processing of up to 12 satellites.
The receiver has a low power consumption of up to 15 W and a radiation tolerance suitable for GTO (200 days) and GEO (15 years). It has a low mass of 9.0 kg and measures 286 x 201 x 226 mm (electronic box). Beyond Gravity has delivered more than 90 flight models of GNSS receivers to customers for missions such as SWARM (ESA), Sentinel-3 A/B satellites (Copernicus), PACE (NASA), and WSF-M (Ball Aerospace).
