VORAGO Technologies, a high technology company that provides radiation-hardened and extreme-temperature solutions for the Hi-rel marketplace has introduced a new radiation-hardened Arm Cortex-M4 Microcontroller for space and defense applications.
The VA41620 from VORAGO Technologies is a radiation-hardened microcontroller that gives the user the flexibility to use their own external RH NVM without sacrificing performance or feature set. It has a TID radiation performance of greater than 300 krad(Si) and an SEL Immunity of greater than 110 (MeVcm²) /mg.
This microcontroller features an Arm M4 MCU with FPU and is designed using VORAGO’s patented and proven HARDSIL technology that uses cost-effective high-volume manufacturing to harden commercially designed semiconductor components for extreme environment operation. The VA41620 has a clock rate of up to 100 MHz and uses an SWD interface.
The VA41620 has a 64 KB on-chip Data SRAM and a 256 KB on-chip Program SRAM. It has an external SPI NVM along with an external bus interface. The microcontroller uses 24 Configurable 32-bit timers, input capture, output compare, PWM, counters, and Watchdog timer. It supports full-duplex Spacewire Interface and comes with an integrated temperature sensor.
