MT Aerospace, a group of companies in the field of space transportation, satellites and aircraft equipment, is a pioneer in lightweight constructions made of metals and composites. Their advanced structural components and tanks are successfully deployed in, amongst other things, the European launch system ARIANE, in spacecrafts, satellites and the Airbus and Boeing fleets. They apply their tireless desire to improve to the development of forward-looking micro-boosters in their rocket factory.
Space Sector: MT Aerospace's Space Sector focuses on boosters & spacecraft, its design & development, and final operation & management. MT's wide range of solutions are in use in numerous space systems: e.g. ARIANE 5, H-IIA, NASA Space Launch System, Eurostar, Iridium, Alphabus and SmallGEO. They play a key role in the development of the new, modular ARIANE 6, with reduced production costs for greater competitiveness it will secure Germany’s and Europe’s independent access to space. MT's propellant tanks are also a part of its space sector.
Aeronautics: It focuses on aircraft tanks & structures, services & consultation, and developing new technologies. In the aeronautic sector, MT Aerospace specializes in the development and production of weight-optimized structural components and subsystems made of state-of-the-art lightweight materials. In particular, we focus on aircraft tanks (drinking and waste water) and monolithic, sandwich, and hybrid structural components made of fiber composites.
Composites: Composites focuses on high design reliability, advanced functional tailoring, the highest strength-to-weight ratio, and in-depth know-how composite processes, materials, and design. It can map the entire value chain of all necessary process steps, ranging from design layout, topology optimization, process development, material selection, manufacturing, integration, non-destructive testing (NDI) functional testing, and qualification/certification.
Additive Manufacturing: Additive manufacturing (AM) of components makes it possible to combine the freedom of geometric design with maximum material strength. MT Aerospace draws on more than 50 years of experience in the field of lightweight construction and component optimization, and, with additive manufacturing, it has the possibility of implementing optimized structures without major manufacturing restrictions.
