York Space Systems (York), the Denver-based aerospace company dedicated to the rapid deployment of complete space mission solutions, announced a new commercial services program designed to provide the USG with critical national security capabilities as a service. This offering leverages York's flight-proven satellite designs, originally developed for government customers and delivers them as an on-demand commercial service, providing a scalable, cost-effective pathway for operationally critical space missions.
York's successful commercial business model, together with its well-capitalized suppliers and partners, enables high-rate production efficiencies to traditionally bespoke government capabilities. York's on-going deployment of Remote Proximity Operations (RPO), space domain awareness, military communication, and Earth observation (EO), enables these and adjacent counterspace services to customers at a small fraction of traditional costs.
"National security threats are evolving, and space is at the forefront of the fight," said Dirk Wallinger, CEO of York. "We're now delivering fully operational, commercially hardened solutions to the table, ones that are flight proven, rigorously tested, and available today. By offering these capabilities through a commercial services model, we provide our government customers with rapid, low-risk access to proven technologies, drastically reducing acquisition timelines and overall costs while enhancing mission agility on a Firm Fixed price model."
York's extensive flight heritage and high-volume production capabilities ensure rapid manufacturing and deployment of various mission platforms, offering national security customers a low-risk, cost-effective approach to space-based operations. The company's secure, mission-proven architectures provide a trusted foundation for maneuverable space assets designed to support intelligence, defense, and national security objectives. These space services will also allow the Space Force to reach back into existing production lines to rapidly acquire satellites for their CASR project when it comes on-line later this year.
With a track record of successfully delivering operational national security missions, York continues to lead the evolution of space capabilities by integrating its commercial products and services to meet the military's unique needs. This latest expansion reinforces York's role as a key supplier of resilient, rapidly deployable space solutions, designed for the realities of modern warfare.
