U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) has awarded a $211 million contract to Systems Planning & Analysis, (Alexandria, VA) to provide Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) Platform and Space Command and Control (C2) Software Enablement capabilities to replace current government-led platform efforts with scalable and replenishable commercial supply. The Space C2 Program systems architecture provides awareness of the space domain on tactically relevant timelines, reduces operator workload, and brings advanced technologies and capabilities to bear to increase and improve operational decision space for USSF Guardians.

The Space C2 program brings modern, scalable, Space Domain Awareness and C2 capabilities to the joint fight and reduces threats to national, military, and commercial space systems; it is critical for planning and tasking operations as well as execution and assessment of campaign plans across multiple security levels, government agencies, allies, coalition partners, and other organizations.

“This contract will integrate hybrid cloud Platform and Space C2 Enablement capabilities into existing networks and architectures for heritage systems, and transition current development and operationally accepted software applications. It will drive stability, resiliency, scalability, and flexibility to support current operations and wartime contingencies,” said USAF Lt. Col. Gary Thompson, the program’s Chief of Platform & Enterprise Services.
