Dawn Aerospace is announcing its selection by CNES, the French Space Agency, as one of only two companies awarded a tender to develop green chemical propulsion systems for satellites. This partnership marks a critical step in ensuring France’s sustainability and responsiveness in space, underscoring Dawn’s role as a key player in reliably providing high-performance, responsive propulsion technology.
Led by CNES, this tender initiative focuses on propulsion capabilities crucial for satellite maneuvering, deorbiting, and extended mission applications. Dawn Aerospace will collaborate in this first phase with CNES to review key system specifications and verify the capacity of nitrous-oxide-based propulsion solutions to align with France’s strategic objectives for leading-edge space technologies. This tender has also supported the continued staffing of Dawn’s offices at the B612 Innovation Hub in Toulouse.
