ETL Systems Introduces Advanced RF-over-Fiber Solutions for Broadcast, Satellite, and Telecom

ETL Systems has introduced the StingRay RF-over-Fiber solution portfolio that redefines RF-over-fiber transmission with solutions for the most demanding broadcast, satellite, and telecommunications environments with a range of up to 500 km. Leveraging ETL Systems’ expertise, StingRay delivers exceptional performance across both short and long distances, ensuring signal integrity even in challenging conditions.

RF-over-Fiber is a dependable and reliable way of moving satellite signals over longer distances than standard coaxial cables. With fiber modules allowing antennas and IRD modems to be linked from 100 m all the way up to 500 km, this is a more efficient and effective medium to transport IF, L and C-band transmit and receive satellite signals over longer distances.

The StingRay portfolio primarily consists of three products – GENUS StingRay, Legacy StingRay, and StingRay Compact. ETL’s GENUS StingRay RF over Fiber carry a comprehensive range of frequency bands including C-Band links operating between 500 MHz to 6.7 GHz. It is mainly for covering short and medium distances up to 10 km or 50 km with Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technique. The Legacy StingRay uses Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing to achieve even greater distances of up to 500 km. The StingRay Compact has been developed for satellite ground applications and enables an antenna to be located at a distance of up to 10 km from modems and other equipment.

Engineered for resilience, the StingRay portfolio minimizes signal degradation and withstands environmental factors, making it the trusted choice for industry professionals. Also built to deliver unmatched reliability, this robust RF-over-Fiber solution combines advanced technology with a robust design to keep signals strong, stable, and secure.

Seamlessly integrating StingRay solutions into complex network setups brings versatility and high performance to the operations. From broadcast to telecommunications, StingRay RF-over-Fiber can transform the network with secure and reliable RF-over-fiber transmission—strengthening the infrastructure from the ground up.
