Company: China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has created a new cryogenic liquid launch vehicle called the Long March-5 (LM-5). It is a heavy vehicle. As per the design principles of generality, serialization, and modularization, the LM-5 employs propellants that are non-toxic and non-polluting, like kerosene, liquid hydrogen, and oxygen. The modularized design is highly adaptive and competitive in the market, and it can lower launch costs and increase reliability. With a payload capacity of 25 tons for low Earth orbit (LEO) and 14 tons for geostationary transfer orbit (GTO), the LM-5 can launch a variety of missions, including space station and lunar probes, as well as LEO, GTO, and sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) satellites.
