A member of the Long March 2 rocket family, the Long March 2C (LM-2C), also called the Chang Zheng 2C (CZ-2C), is a Chinese orbital launch vehicle. The China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) developed and produced the Long March 2C, which was launched for the first time on September 9, 1982. It is a two-stage rocket that uses nitrogen tetroxide and unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine as storable propellants. The DF-5 ICBM served as the model for the launch vehicle.
