Company: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is the launch vehicle operator for JAXA's H-IIA, a two-stage liquid-fuel medium-lift rocket. It has a height of roughly 53 meters (174 feet) and a diameter of about 4.0 meters (13 feet). It can carry a payload of 4,000 kg into a geostationary transfer orbit (GTO). It flew for the first time on August 29, 2001. It has launched 47 times since then, failing only once, on November 29, 2003. There are multiple versions of the H-IIA rocket, but only the H-IIA 202 is still in use.
