The SpaceNXT HC Series from Smiths Interconnect is a Space Qualified RF Termination with a frequency range of DC-27 GHz. This termination has a resistance range of 10-500 ohms and a resistance tolerance of +/- 2 to 5%. It has a nominal impedance of 50 ohms and has a maximum VSWR of 1.60:1 (6-12 GHz). It uses aluminium nitride for the substrate and a thick-film silver plated material for the terminals. The termination is screened based on MIL-PRF-55342 and is manufactured using robust thick film process technology. It is specifically designed and tested to meet the space orbit environmental criteria and is suitable for applications such as amplifier circuits, transmit/receive modules, up/down converters, instrumentation, radar, and broadcast.
